Join our team as a Senior Accountant – Rebate Accounting & Controls and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial integrity of our rebate operations for Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs). We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for accuracy and collaboration to help drive impactful outcomes across our organization.
Responsibilities
Lead monthly close meetings with key business partners to ensure alignment and transparency.
Support enterprise-wide initiatives and projects with financial expertise and strategic insights.
Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial accruals for receivables and payables.
Manage roll forwards and reconciliations for Manufacturer Receivables, Rebates Payable, and other balance sheet accounts.
Provide audit support and ensure timely issuance of SOC 1 reports for GPOs.
Collaborate with Financial Compliance to support SOX compliance and control frameworks.
Contribute to automation initiatives and leverage internal rebate system knowledge for key projects.
Present financial analysis and variance reports to senior leadership and business partners.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance, with rebate accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience; Public accounting experience preferred.
Strong proficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controls.
Experience in general ledger account analysis and reconciliation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of business operations and processes.
Self-starter and effective team collaborator.
Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
Experience working with cross-functional departments to resolve issues.
Familiarity with internal rebate systems and automation tools.
