Position Overview

Ready to make a real impact at the forefront of digital assets? As a Senior Accountant you'll work with the Accounting Manager to orchestrate our daily accounting functions and be instrumental in ensuring a flawless month-end and year-end closes. You’ll partner closely with FP&A and SEC Reporting teams on vital financial initiatives to ensure our company continuously meets the evolving cryptocurrency accounting standards and regulations.

Note: This role is based in NYC and will be required to work from our office located near Union Square. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and review the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

  • Reconcile cryptocurrency wallets, exchanges, and blockchain transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures tailored to the cryptocurrency industry.

  • Collaborate with the SEC Reporting team in preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting principles, frameworks, and cryptocurrency-specific standards.

  • Support the SEC Reporting team with external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Stay updated on evolving cryptocurrency regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.

  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting software and blockchain-based financial tools.

  • Coordinate with FP&A team in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred

  • 3+ years of public and private accounting experience in Financial Services, FinTech, and/or Digital Assets industries

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles; experience with digital assets accounting practices is highly preferred.

  • Experience with accounting software and familiarity with blockchain-based financial tools.

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving industry regulations.

  • Basic understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital asset management is highly desirable.

Bullish US LLC & CoinDesk Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + performance incentives/benefits. Offered salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
