Major Duties:

  • As a Security Specialist, GS-13 you will perform the following duties: Possesses expert knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives and DHS management directives to ensure compliance with, and enforce DHS and Intelligence Community Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) policies and procedures. Oversees ICD 705 accreditation and lifecycle requirements of ICE Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) and Temp SCIF's including SOPs, Emergency Plans, Fixed Facility Checklists, Tempest checklists, Co-Utilization Agreements, Concept of Operations, Construction Security Plans, alarm system testing and response documentation and SCIF Self-Inspections. Supplies technical expertise on Intrusion Detection System and Access Control System requirements during SCIF construction. Performs the following briefings: Indoctrination, Indoctrination Assists, Debriefing, Annual Refresher Training, Defensive Travel Briefing, and Courier Briefing. Serves as agency representative/liaison with stakeholders throughout the Department to determine technical and functional requirements for logical and physical access: participates in information technology working groups.

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess the following: Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Possesses knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives and agency management directives to ensure compliance with and enforce agency and Intelligence Community Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) policies and procedures. Supports the writing or oral delivery for the following briefings: Indoctrination, Indoctrination Assists, Debriefing, Annual Refresher Training, Defensive Travel Briefing, and Courier Briefing. Coordinates or assists with the following accesses: Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) physical access, Outgoing Visit Requests, Incoming Visit requests, Intelligence Community Badge Requests, Frequent Visit Requests, C-LAN Account Requests, and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Requests for Access. Provides assistance to technical expertise in initiating and leading projects involving Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations.
