Security Professional – Site Security Associate

ROLE SUMMARY

This role shares responsibility for the site’s security program.  The role is responsible for assisting in ensuring compliance with Pfizer’s Global Security MSR (Minimum Security Requirements).  This role is responsible for security training, metrics, and oversight of security management systems and operational interaction.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the alignment of the site security’s programs with Pfizer’s Minimum-Security Requirement to maintain conformance to site security and regulatory standards
  • Develops and implements preventative and security awareness training programs for site colleagues and contingent workers.
  • Oversight of security management systems (Physical Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance System) and coordination with engineering and business technology teams.
  • Assist in review of security reports and daily activity logs and in-depth reviews of items which fall outside of the normal security routine.
  • Monitor and interact with contracted security personnel on operational level to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Perform and support Security Investigations
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow up on identified minor maintenance items.
  • Implement and maintain security metrics.
  • Support Lockshop operations for pinning and cylinder changes to doors and making keys

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with 0+ years of experience; OR
    an associate's degree with 4 years of experience; OR a high school
    diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a similar position with preference toward chemical industry or other manufacturing facility experience
  • Experience managing contracted resources.
  • Experience with standard security equipment, including card access and alarm systems, CCTV systems, and incident and reporting software
  • Excellent project management skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills and initiative.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in law enforcement
  • ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security) or equivalent professional affiliation
  • Experience working with Department of Homeland Security, Food and Drug Administration, or Drug Enforcement Administration
  • Strong presentation skills with experience in concisely summarizing problems and recommending actions.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
  • Certified locksmith

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to perform complex data analysis.  Self-driven, insightful.

Work Environment: 

Typically, in an office environment, but must be willing to work in the field and operating units as needed to fully analyze situations and implement solutions.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Standard work schedule, Monday – Friday, days; may infrequently require off-shift and weekend support.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

A standard work schedule of first shift, Monday-Friday is the norm; however non-standard work hours may be necessary. The work environment is typically inside, but outside work may be required. Travel is possible but there is no scheduled travel.


Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $66 500,00 to $110 900,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7,5% of the base salary.
