Position Summary:

As the Security Operations Manager, you are an experienced professional skilled in leading the colleague safety and security program within retail stores. You will have experience in conducting security risk assessments, managing contracted security services, analyzing operational security processes, leading security-related investigations, and measuring program performance indicators within Enterprise Security Operations core functional areas. You will support the Senior Manager of Retail Security Operations and the entire Enterprise Security management team in maintaining the overall safety and security of CVS Health’s people, facilities, and assets.  This role will allow you to foster a collaborative approach to achieve strategic goals in a manner consistent with CVS Health’s purpose and values. 

You will accomplish this by:

  • Managing Retail Security Operations initiatives and strategies – leveraging a risked-based approach – while ensuring security measures and processes are aligned with and support the Company’s business objectives

  • Assessing operational vulnerabilities at retail stores and develop strategic approaches to mitigate identified risk with proven integrated solutions and security best practices

  • Monitoring guard force security vendor performance and actively seek opportunities to continuously improve operational performance

  • Enhancing security programs and procedures to maintain the overall safety and security of CVS Health’s most important assets – its people, facilities, critical business operations, and protected information

  • Coordinating incident response activities – including technical measures – to ensure they appropriately address the direct effects of an event or incident

  • Overseeing physical security programs within a dedicated span of control

  • Facilitating both internal and external investigations relating to all security issues including threat, misconduct, and due diligence cases as assigned by the Senior Manager

  • Evaluating Retail Security Operations policies, programs, and procedures to effectively impact colleague safety

  • Monitoring emerging threats and oversee the analysis of data from varied sources and perspectives to identify potential areas of risk within a span of control

  • Supporting Threat Analysis Group’s efforts, review comprehensive intelligence assessments, and report findings to various internal stakeholders

  • Partnering and fostering relationships with Enterprise Security & Divisional Retail management team for program sponsorship and resources to ensure strategic goals are achieved

  • Preparing and conducting security related training programs such as workplace violence, travel safety and protection of company assets

  • Maintaining effective working relationships with law enforcement, intelligence and other related government agencies, and private sector security groups

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of practical experience in the Corporate Security, Asset Protection or law enforcement and military fields of service

  • Minimum of two years of management experience overseeing related programs across multiple locations

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% (including plane travel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a demonstrated understanding of security operations at a health care company, including the application of industry best practices

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication (both verbal and written) skills, as well as the ability to work and collaborate with various business units and across all levels of colleagues, including executives

  • Sound technical skills and demonstrated aptitude for information/data analysis

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with diverse groups of individuals and functions, both internal and external  

  • Strong working knowledge of physical security and security operations—operational and leadership experience in these key areas is essential

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and customer service skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; equivalent years of work experience may substitute

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
