Licensed Security Officer - Unarmed, Armed and Lead

POSITION SUMMARY:
Enforces security related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, patients and physical properties. Performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.
What you will need:
High School Diploma/GED required
NYS Driver’s License
Valid Armed or Unarmed Security Guard License issued by the State of New York
Active police officer certification; active police officers are required to obtain NYS Security Guard license within 6 months of hire.
BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required.
Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to diffuse and handle violent physical situations calmly. Excellent interpersonal skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:
Clinical and outdoor setting. Exposure Class I.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
WORK CONTACT GROUP:
All services, medical staff, patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, various regulatory agencies.

Pay Range Unarmed : $19.00 - $26.50
Pay range Armed: $25.00 - $35.70
Pay range Lead: $27.50 - $38.06
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
