Security Advisor

Aarhus Full time

Shape the Cybersecurity Landscape at STARK Group

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to drive strategic security initiatives across a leading organization? We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Security Advisor to strengthen STARK Group’s security posture and help embed cybersecurity into everything we do.

Your Impact – What You Will Do

In this role, you will drive the implementation of CIS18 controls, build IT Security Risk Management capabilities, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across our European business.

You will join the Group Security team - a small and dedicated team of three professionals reporting directly to the Group CISO. Here, you will work at the intersection of strategy and operations, ensuring governance, resilience, and compliance while supporting day-to-day decisions.

You will be a success in this role when you:

  • Roll out CIS18 security controls and embed them into processes and services across the organization.
  • Build and operationalize an IT Security Risk Management function, including governance, reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance on security, risk mitigation, and compliance - and foster a strong cybersecurity culture through awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to integrate security into service design and support activities such as crisis management planning, monitoring, and reporting.

A big part of your job will be working closely with stakeholders across Group IT, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment, compliance, and resilience in our security practices. This role can be based in both Aarhus (Viby J) or Frederiksberg (Copenhagen).

What You Bring

You are passionate about cybersecurity and thrive in a role where you combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You can navigate complexity, influence stakeholders, and turn frameworks into practical solutions. We are looking for candidates with a proactive and professional attitude who want to help shape and grow a strategic area of our business, working directly with C-level stakeholders. You bring:

  • Relevant education in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with governance frameworks such as CIS, ISO, or NIST.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work across teams and geographies.

In return, we offer a role you can help shape in a large, international organization where security is a strategic priority. You’ll work directly with senior stakeholders, influence decisions that matter, and see the tangible impact of your efforts in how we protect our systems, data, and customers across Europe.
