This position is a critical function for the MEA Food & Beverage team, and as such a high level of interpersonal skills both internally and externally are required.
Maintaining a professional image of Solenis and the portfolio + brand in the marketplace is critical, whilst supporting the commercial team to maintain and develop business.
Capability to develop and maintain one to one relationship with field staff and customers, as well as being a team player within the MEA team.
Communications:

Specific Accountabilities:
Business development and technical support:
- Identify customer needs and convert it to opportunities in water treatment space as per customer group
- Conduct trials ensuring expected outcomes are achieved, compile detailed trial reports and gain customer approval of trial results/outcomes through effective presentation of trial findings and the benefits to the customer
- Lead in the execution of key water treatment value propositions, offerings and innovations
- Replicate successes achieved across customers and sectors, and develop programs per customer or sector
- Monitor and improve upon service delivery models
- Work with country sales teams to deliver the water treatment growth plan
- Optimization: Develop programs with a systematic approach that will include appropriate product selections, cost in use calculations, investment needs and benefits delivered to the customer
- Stakeholder management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a sense of loyalty to the business
- Capacity building: Train, develop and support the local sales team members to increase their knowledge and understanding of water treatment
- Customer satisfaction: Actively collaborate with supporting functions e.g. Supply Chain, Marketing, technical support teams and the global water treatment community within Diversey etc. to ensure customer needs are met and delivered upon within expected timeframes
Person Specification:
- Chemistry, Chemical, Water or Mechanical Engineering disciplines
- A minimum 4 years practical understanding of Boiler, cooling towers & Condensers, Pasteurisers treatment
- Water treatment background, especially from a chemical treatment portfolio working with industrial customers and with experience in utility treatment and/or wastewater management.
- A good understanding of wastewater treatment desirable
- Exposure to the food & beverage manufacturing industry is desirable
- Must be an effective and confident communicator
- Ideally fluent in English
- Must be fully computer literate, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to travel is essential ~50% of time on average
