Position Summary:
Oversees monitors and coordinates Sort-Deck Team Members activities and ensure best practices are being followed throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
· Motivates and ensures his/her team is meeting departmental goals and objectives, including maintaining high quality, safety, and productivity standards.
· Build strong relationships with other department leaders and associates. Interact with other supervisors to establish maximum utilization of resources and to improve efficiencies.
· Implement processes that improve key performance indicators (i.e., quality, safety, cycle time).
· Provide feedback to Plant Supervisor and Business Manager on ways to increase the efficiencies and effectiveness of the production process.
· Arranges and coordinates safety meetings to ensure safety standards are understood and met.
· Operate machinery when needed
Position Requirements:
· High School Diploma required.
· Previous experience leading others
· Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
· Ability to lift moderately heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
· Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
· Demonstrated customer service, people, leadership, and organization skills with track record of achieving positive business results.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
