Immerse yourself in the thrilling world of snow equipment, where you will play a pivotal role in operating cutting-edge machines to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance in the picturesque snowy landscapes of Hancock and Calumet, MI.
Hiring Full-Time and Part-Time employees; Flexible hours
Operations will run Monday- Saturday 6am-10pm
Position is seasonal and will begin mid-December
Safe operation of multiple styles of snow blowing machines and tools. Ensure team is wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes and gloves (as necessary))
Test Plan Execution – Executes the Test Requests (TRs) as requested by the requestor, providing feedback and suggestions for how to complete the test the best way.
Performs Inspections – Provides details inspection reports back to the requestor and project team, per test plan provided. Suggests inspection improvements to the team
Product Improvement – Provides ideas and suggestions for product improvements for the team during design reviews, test report outs, and issue resolution efforts.
Test Incident Reports (TIRs) – Documents issues identified during the testing, to report actual failures as well as design improvement ideas, supplemented with pictures, video, and data to support. Works with requestor or Test Engineer to quickly resolve issues to get back on test.
Services and Maintains Units – Services the test units per the manuals and any special requests. Maintains the inventory of service parts needed to support the test plan duration and units.
Product Updates – Works with NPD teams to update test units as necessary per design changes as they are available.
Data Acquisition – Works with Test Engineer to collect the data from the test units, by recording and downloading to provide for analysis.
Test Reporting – Provide detailed reports per the Test Request (TR) back to the requestor, to include clear results, observations, as well as recommendations.
Instrumentation – Assists with getting units ready for test, which may include GPS, hour meters, lighting, safety equipment, and other sensors as required.
Safety – Provides feedback to Test Engineer regarding any safety related concerns. Verifies safe operation of machine after any instrumentation is added.
Documents test procedures – Works with Test Engineer to develop and document standard work test procedures
Test Setup – For non-standard tests, works with Test Engineer to develop new test setups and innovative ways to test components, subsystems, and machines.
Continuous Improvement – Drives 5S within the shop, participate in Kaizen events, assists with the implementation of identified opportunities for improvement. Also identifies process improvements

THE QUALIFICATIONS…
Working knowledge of outdoor power equipment operation and use
Capable of performing basic troubleshooting and adhering to standard work
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience and/or training
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are necessary
Experience in data acquisition systems using SCATAS or similar data acquisition hardware, preferred.
Understanding of calibration methods and procedures.
Capable in programing PLC’s, data collection methods using SCATAS or similar data acquisition systems.
Strong communication skills and collaborative team skills.
Self-starter who is tenacious problem solver and detail oriented professional.
THE WORK ENVIRONMENT…
Required to walk, sit, and/or stand for 8+ hours a day
Work environment is outdoors and may include safely operating in inclement weather
Must be able to use hands to operate test machines in their normal environment
Able to lift up to 25 pounds at varying frequencies. Work with team lift for heavier items
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes)

Occasionally is exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
Occasionally is exposed to a noise level in the moderate to high range.
