Job Description:

Why Work with Us

At Blueflame AI for Datasite, you will be part of a dynamic team that is at the forefront of AI technology in the investment management and dealmaking industry. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge products and make a significant impact on our clients' success. Join us to be part of a company that values innovation, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for a Scrum Master to help our cross-functional squads deliver exceptional products — faster, more collaboratively, and with purpose. You’ll coach, unblock, and empower teams across Product, Engineering, and Design to execute in short, high-impact cycles.

This is not a checkbox role. You’ll be a key cultural catalyst — helping us maintain startup speed while scaling process maturity across squads working on key product builds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own capacity planning: Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to assess team bandwidth, balance sprint commitments, and forecast delivery timelines with accuracy.

  • Facilitate agile delivery: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

  • Drive focus and flow: Identify blockers early, coordinate dependencies, and ensure each sprint delivers tangible value.

  • Facilitate growth-oriented retrospectives: Lead engaging and productive sprint retrospectives that foster open communication, identify root causes, and drive actionable improvements for continuous team growth.

  • Coach and empower teams: Help engineers, designers, and PMs continuously improve estimation, velocity tracking, and communication.

  • Champion process improvement: Evolve our agile practices to fit a fast-moving SaaS startup.

  • Bridge teams and leadership: Provide visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes for product leadership and stakeholders.

  • Promote accountability and clarity: Keep JIRA, Notion, and documentation current so the “source of truth” always reflects reality.

Success Criteria

  • Sprint goals are met consistently, with fewer carry-overs.

  • Capacity and velocity are accurately forecasted — teams are busy but not over-committed.

  • Delivery metrics and communication improve quarter over quarter.

  • Product and engineering alignment is tight — and velocity increases without sacrificing quality or compliance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead in a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles, backlog refinement, and cross-team coordination.

  • Excellent communicator who builds trust across engineering, product, and design.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, data-driven, and AI-centric environment.

  • Bonus if you have experience in FinTech, RegTech, or enterprise SaaS environments with compliance or data-sensitivity considerations.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM or PSM) preferred but not essential — we value pragmatic agility over rigid process.

Work Location & Flexibility

This position is based in our New York City office and follows a hybrid work model. Employees work on-site (3) days per week. Please note that specific business units or role requirements may necessitate additional in-office days based on team collaboration needs or operational priorities.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a retirement savings plan, paid time off, and other employee benefits. Specific details will be provided during the interview process. Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
