Joining us as a Schemes Manager within the Education & Not for Profit schemes at Howden, you will have an outstanding opportunity, proactively managing and developing strong working relationships with our scheme insurers and partners to ensure they deliver exceptional service and propositions to our customers.
As a schemes manager you will be expected to deliver outstanding customer outcomes as well as strong commercial performance whilst ensuring effective governance and oversight of the contractual relationships. We are looking for a passionate Schemes Manager with strong networking and communication skills, to aid with building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally.
Please note this is a full time permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Cheltenham office and ideally be onsite for 2-3 days a week.
The Schemes Manager key accountabilities will include:
Effective oversight and management of relationship with Howden scheme partners
Oversight and management of profitability and operational effectiveness of Education and NFP schemes
Work proactively with existing partners to improve customer outcomes and operational efficiencies and effective escalation where required
Support delivery of scheme placement strategy across trading teams
Lead initiatives for service and operational improvements by acting on feedback from customers, partners and internal stakeholders
Support the delivery of new products and capacity
Understanding product owners’ requirements and delivering with insurers to achieve business objectives.
Ensure effective reporting and analysis of partner performance and delivery of recommendations to improve
Review and negotiate contracts and insurer TOBA’s
The Schemes Manager will have the following:
Experience in managing third party relationships or operational experience in the implantation and management of service levels.
An understanding of the insurance market
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Analytical and business management capabilities
A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
Problem solving and innovative mindset
