About the Role

We are establishing a Supply Chain Planning Centre of Excellence (CoE) to drive scale and competitive edge through industry leading ETE supply chain planning and synchronisation. As a young company we are looking to establish a consistent set of operating standards across entities and improve significantly our operational excellence by driving programs such as SC resilience and agility, Cash improvement and advanced planning technology platforms. This CoE transcends mere process standardization and incremental improvements. It is dedicated to fostering innovation and exploring new technologies. By adopting disruptive approaches to supply chain planning, we are setting a new benchmark for agility and strategic growth, ultimately delivering the desired business outcomes.

The new Supply Chain Excellence Director has over 15 years of experience in operational and strategic planning experience across at least 3 areas of end to end Planning, as well as at least one system integration program leadership. This role will collaborate with our Digital and data teams, the program team across regions and center. This is an instrumental role to build the global capability team and drive mastery of expertise consistently and at scale using best in class learning programs. The CoE Lead will develop the new identity of SC excellence and the Planning community across HALEON – he/she will not only develop high quality standards to guide regional operations, but also put in place a SC excellence health check, to regularly assess people capability and process adherence to ensure continuous improvements, while evolving best practices to fit both global and local needs.

This role will report directly to the QSC Operations Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Accountability:
    • Leading a team of end-to-end supply chain planning business process experts.
    • Develop the value creation road map beyond existing projects
    • Leading the end to end Synchronisation and Inventory reduction program

  • Fundamentals:
    • Responsible for establishing a set of standards / planning fundamentals to be in place
    • Establishing a consistent end to end SC performance management system
    • Establish the global baseline for long term planning and resource optimization (e.g. RCCP, inventory road map, strategic long term supply choices)
    • Leads the in progress IBP transformation program team
    • Setting performance targets and tolerances and establishing a platform for driving improvement and adherence across the entire end to end supply chain planning organization
    • Assessing Planning Maturity processes. Owning End to End Planning Self-Assessment Guidelines, auditing planning organisations periodically against these guidelines.
    • Set the blueprint for E2E planning process and ensure 100% compliance by the planning organisations.

  • Value Creation:
    • Ensures best value for the enterprise and optimal choices in long term supply planning
    • Driving break-through improvements based on established sound fundamental processes.
    • Architecting best practices and capabilities to effect change at a leadership level.
    • Redefining processes with the Supply Chain Planning organization for agility and the innovation of new and disruptive capabilities and technologies.

  • Talent development:
    • Managing the supply chain people talent agenda of COE and planning capability centres with Planning Service Centre Leads.
    • Enabling talent development and change management to navigate the complexities of change, minimize resistance, and ensure a smooth transition to a transformed and optimized supply chain planning processes.
    • Leading the development and implementation of a regular, certified end-to-end planning capability program in collaboration with the QSC Capability Lead and Planning Leads.

  • People management and leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams to achieve high performance and foster a positive work environment.
  • End-to-end planning mastery: Lean capability to create an ideal state vision, and recovering losses based on the compelling business need. Financial analytical skills, to assess ideas that will add value for Haleon and its customers.
  • Performance Management: Ability to set clear performance expectations, review loops, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Program delivery: Track record in predictably delivering change programs
  • Process Excellence: Focus on achieving and maintaining industry high-standards.
  • Operational Design: Proficient in designing planning operating models and implementing emerging technologies.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communicator with a talent for impactful collaboration with key stakeholders across various business functions. Need to communicate effectively at all levels, push back where necessary, and handle challenging discussions productively. Communication skills at a very high level to convey ideas concisely and clearly to external and internal customers, BUs and senior management.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Ability to establish and enhance a knowledge hub with innovative practice-sharing methods.
