Location/Division Specific Information

This position is based in Budapest, Hungary, within the Commercial Excellence team of our Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD).

Discover Impactful Work:

As an Instructional Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating effective and engaging learning experiences for our CMD Sales Colleagues.  This role requires a deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and instructional technologies. The Instructional Design Specialist collaborates with subject matter experts, trainers, and collaborators to design develop and implement high-quality training content that aligns with learning objectives. 

This role will also be responsible for the day to day administration, support and optimization of the Learning Management system and plays a key role in enhancing the digital learning experience and ensures compliance with training requirements. 

A Day in the Life:

  • Apply instructional design methodologies to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate educational content.
  • Apply adult learning theories and best practices to create engaging and learner-centered instructional materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop curriculum materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and learning activities. Ensure alignment with learning objectives, standards, and educational guidelines.
  • Incorporate instructional technologies and digital tools to enhance learning experiences. Stay updated with emerging trends and tools in instructional design and recommend their integration as appropriate.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality instructional materials. Monitor project progress, coordinate with stakeholders, and address any issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Evaluate instructional materials and programs to assess their effectiveness. Analyze feedback and data to make data-driven improvements and enhancements to instructional materials and strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trainers, vendors, subject matter experts, and collaborators, to gather input and feedback. Communicate effectively to ensure a clear understanding of project goals, timelines, and expectations.
  • Administer and maintain the LMS platform, including user accounts, roles, permissions, and course enrollments.
  • Own and manage tracking and reporting of training attendance, supporting training logistics and class coordination and manage the Training Feedback Mechanism.
  • Upload, organize, and manage digital learning content (SCORM packages, videos, PDFs, quizzes, etc.).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with particular strength in Microsoft Word, Excel Power Point and Outlook

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field, preferably in shared service environment
  • Demonstrable Learning and Development experience gained within a complex, shared services environment
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools is desired

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Able to work in an office setting, using standard office equipment.
