The Team:
Morningstar’s Global Sales Operations team is responsible for sales reporting, forecasting and analysis as well as oversight of Salesforce.com and variable sales compensation plans. The team works with the executive sales team and global sales managers & sales reps to support business strategies and objectives and to help the sales organization run effectively and efficiently.
The Role:
Morningstar’s Global Sales Operations team is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sales Operations Analyst to support our sales team and improve overall sales performance. As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing sales data, providing actionable insights, and streamlining sales processes to ensure our sales team can work efficiently and effectively. This role will involve working closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to drive the success of our sales operations. You will assist Sales Managers in monthly sales forecast meetings and Sales Reps with their pipeline management. This position reports to the Director of Global Sales Operations and is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
Sales Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret sales data, identify trends, and leverage reports and dashboards to track sales performance
Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with sales leadership to assist in creating accurate quarterly sales forecasts and monitor performance against targets
Sales Process Improvement: Evaluate and suggest improvements to sales processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and drive growth
Salesforce.com Management: Maintain and optimize Salesforce.com, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across the sales team
Reporting and Dashboards: Develop and manage sales reports and dashboards for leadership, providing insights into sales activities, pipeline, and revenue performance
Sales Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the sales team and identify areas for improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and other teams to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, and initiatives
Sales Compensation Support: Assist with the administration and analysis of sales compensation plans and commissions
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of reporting & analysis experience with a bachelor’s degree
Candidates should be highly motivated, detail-oriented team players with strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
Solid experience with Microsoft Excel
Salesforce.com and Tableau experience a plus

$74,325.00 - 126,350.00 USD AnnualInclusive of annual base salary and target incentive
