County Waste-Broker Relations Specialist
Reports To: Sales Manager
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Overtime Possible)
Pay for this role will be $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Position Summary
At County Waste, the Broker Relations Specialist plays a key role in supporting our broker partnerships and driving profitable growth across the region. Working hand-in-hand with the Sales Manager, this role manages an active book of brokered business — coordinating bids, reviewing pricing, ensuring contract accuracy, and maintaining strong communication between brokers, operations, and leadership. Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with the Sales Manager to manage broker accounts, develop pricing strategies, annual price increases across lines of business, and execute bid submissions.
Maintain open, ongoing communication with broker partners to ensure contract alignment, pricing accuracy, and exceptional service.
Collaborate daily with Operations, Customer Service, and Dispatch to resolve issues, improve service performance, and uphold County Waste standards.
Track and report on broker activity, retention, and revenue trends to identify opportunities for growth or adjustment.
Support renewals, adjustments, and new broker onboarding, ensuring smooth setup and alignment with internal systems.
Proactively communicate updates and service impacts to brokers and internal stakeholders.
Represent County Waste with professionalism and a strong commitment to teamwork, accountability, and integrity.
What You Bring
2–4 years of experience in sales support, brokerage, or account management, ideally in waste, logistics, or environmental services.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance relationship-building and business objectives.
High attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
Proficiency with CRM and internal pricing tools (ADP, Salesforce, or similar).
A proactive mindset — you like to solve problems before they become them.
