About the role
Strategic Influence: Partner with the Executive Director to strengthen clinical governance and quality frameworks across SVHNS.
Patient Safety Leadership: Drive system-wide initiatives that embed a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement.
Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with senior managers, committees, and stakeholders to achieve NSQHS accreditation and performance goals.
Innovation & Excellence: Lead quality improvement projects with measurable outcomes, recognised through publications and awards.
Workplace Safety Stewardship: Champion best practice in health, safety, and wellbeing to support a high-performing and compliant workforce.
About you
Qualified and Experienced: Hold tertiary health and postgraduate management qualifications (or equivalent), with extensive experience in quality, safety, risk management, and accreditation within a complex healthcare environment.
Expert in Clinical Governance: Demonstrated expertise in applying National Standards (2nd Edition), patient safety programs, clinical risk identification, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Analytical and Strategic Thinker: Strong skills in data analysis, clinical case review, project management, and change management—translating insights into meaningful quality and safety improvements.
Influential Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and engage effectively with clinicians, consumers, and senior leaders.
Organised and Tech-Savvy Leader: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently, lead and collaborate in team environments, and confidently use incident management, quality systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
