Job Description
Provide leadership and oversight for the automation function by managing the automation portfolio, aligning with enterprise QA and technology standards, and driving delivery of end-to-end automation solutions. The role ensures integration across multiple technologies (RPA, Power Automate, workflows, macros, mobile, and web platforms) while enabling efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.
Automation Leadership & Governance
- Define and enforce automation standards aligned with CQA frameworks.
- Own the automation portfolio from identification to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with QA, Test Managers, DevOps, Architecture, and IT Security to deliver integrated solutions.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Lead reviews of existing automation practices to identify gaps and introduce enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with automation, AI/ML, and process improvement trends.
- Promote cost-effective solutions and measurable business value delivery.
Delivery & Technical Oversight
- Oversee feasibility assessments, complexity scoring, and prioritization of automation use cases.
- Ensure robust design, build, testing, deployment, and support of automation initiatives.
- Manage CI/CD pipeline integration and promote reusable automation components.
- Provide technical support to remove blockers for developers/testers.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor Automation Developers and Controllers.
- Promote transparency, team engagement, and cross-learning.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business and technology.
Qualifications Skills and Experience
- 4-5 years of software development or automation experience.
- Problem-solving and debugging skills with an analytical mindset.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical automation solutions.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
- RPA Developer (Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism).
- Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong programming background (Python, Java, .NET, VBScript, SQL, or equivalent).
- Experience with RPA platforms (Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, SharePoint).
- Understanding of SDLC, system integration, APIs, and database management.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Agile/DevOps experience (Scrum, Kanban) desirable.
