Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the Observation/Short Stay Unit team. This unit is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment that blends acute care and transitional care, supporting patients requiring short-term monitoring and treatment prior to discharge or admission.
About the Unit
The Observation/Short Stay Unit provides care for patients admitted for observation, post-procedural monitoring, and short-term treatment. Nurses in this unit manage a diverse patient population with a variety of medical and surgical needs. The team works closely with physicians, case managers, and ancillary departments to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care transitions. This unit offers an excellent opportunity to refine critical thinking and time management skills in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

Full-Time Night Shift

Qualifications
Current RN license or eligibility in the state of Virginia
BLS required within 90 days of hire (ACLS preferred)
Previous acute care experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
