About the Unit
The Med-Surg/Oncology Specialty Unit is a 12-bed unit that primarily serves medical-surgical patients while also caring for those receiving oncology treatments. This unit offers a well-rounded clinical experience, combining the fast-paced variety of med-surg nursing with the rewarding, relationship-based care of oncology.

This team is known for its strong sense of teamwork, excellent leadership, and supportive culture. Nurses on this unit enjoy low patient ratios that allow for focused, quality care, and a fair every third weekend rotation that provides a healthy balance between work and personal time.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license or eligibility in the state of Virginia

  • BLS required within 90 days of hire (ACLS preferred)

  • Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
