Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. Along with your day-to-day job duties, you will take part in a capstone project, sessions with our business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns have a choice between one of two sessions to accommodate varying school calendars.
Session 1: May 27 - August 14
Session 2: June 17 - September 4

The Risk & Compliance Intern will support the firm’s risk management and compliance functions, focusing on the unique regulatory and operational challenges of clearing and custody services. This role offers hands-on experience in risk assessment, risk monitoring, and process improvement within a highly regulated financial environment.

  • Assist in the review and update of operational risk procedures, including documentation for new software implementations and regulatory changes.
  • Support the preparation and organization of files for control testing and support of audit examinations and regulatory reviews.
  • Participate in risk assessments, including monitoring for fraud, AML, and operational risks related to securities transactions, margin lending, and custody operations.
  • Help compile and analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to management.
  • Aid in the execution of internal controls, such as system access reviews, transaction monitoring, and documentation of control activities.
  • Collaborate with business units to address real marketplace challenges, including customer due diligence and ongoing verification of account credentials.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of remediation plans for identified issues.
