We are seeking RF and digital knowledgeable individuals who are passionate about monitoring and supporting product technical performance and maintaining product delivery schedules. The RF Test and Power Engineer will support the development, integration, and testing of production hardware. Activities will range from hands-on testing and troubleshooting; to analysis of failure trends, root cause/ corrective actions; and attending program meetings to report yields, problems, and corrective actions.
What You'll Get to Do:
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of RF theory and power concepts, and a working knowledge of digital circuit design. They will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate across teams. They should be self-directed, organized, team oriented and have previous experience with MS Office tools. A DoD Secret level security clearance is required for this position.

This position will be filled at either the RF Test and Power Engineer or the Principal RF Test and Power Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for the RF Test and Power Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field plus 2 or more years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field.
Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics and block diagrams
Experience with power diodes, transistors, capacitors, and electrical circuitry
Experience with high power test equipment including oscilloscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator
Experience troubleshooting power components and power systems
Current, active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level clearance
U.S. citizenship
Basic Qualifications for the Principal RF Test and Power Engineer:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field plus 5 or more years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field plus 3 or more years of relevant experience.
Experience to reading and interpreting specifications, schematics and block diagrams
Experience with power diodes, transistors, capacitors, and electrical circuitry
Experience with high power test equipment including oscilloscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator
Experience troubleshooting power components and power systems
Current, active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications for both RF Test and Power Engineer and Principal RF Test and Power Engineer:
Advanced degree in Engineering (Power specific) or related STEM discipline
Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance
Experience with troubleshooting complicated circuitry at the system or component level
Experience with Lab Windows CVI, C / C++ programming
Test Stand programming
Proficiency with digital, analog, power, RF test equipment, RF theory and high-speed digital.
Familiarity with differential digital interfaces like LVDS
PXI/PXIe and VME bus experience
Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $102,400.00 - $153,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
