About the Function-

GB has a strategy rooted in people, purpose, and performance with an ambition to be a £2bn NSV business which will involve growing notable market share of TBA. This is a bold ambition which will require best in class revenue growth management, commercial effectiveness, route to market capabilities to ensure GB has the optimum go to market plan to win internally via the P&L, win externally via market share and also enable our customers to create category value.

The newly formed Diageo Luxury Company (DLC) envisions to be the premier luxury drinks company in GB, aiming to double our NSV and market share over the next 5 years. The Head of Luxury Revenue Growth Management will sit on the leadership team and play a critical role in delivering this ambition for DLC and Diageo as a whole.

 

Role Dimensions

The role has responsibilities for luxury categories and brands, across channels and customers, and covers commercial planning, customer planning, sales performance management, DLC Commercial Strategy and the 5 RGM levers.

 

RGM Managers are decision makers on the sub-channel success models on pack, price, place and promo and are responsible for building medium- and long-term plans to achieve market share ambitions, drive net revenue maximisation and profitable growth. Working in partnership with Brand Marketing and Commercial, they will build the commercial plan through the lens of sub-channels – the plan that drives what, where and how we implement.

 

 

Leadership

  • Delivery: Achieve Diageo Luxury Company's P&L and market share ambitions within the year; perform next year’s commercial plan within the end-to-end planning cycle.

  • Commercial Strategy: support shaping the commercial strategy across luxury brands using RGM levers.

  • Culture Building: Foster a successful, hardworking culture within DLC and establish a strong identity within Diageo.

  • Cross-functional Relationships: Build robust relationships with Brand Marketing, Commercial teams, Supply Chain, Finance, Category Development and Shopper Marketing.

  • RGM Capabilities: Champion RGM capabilities by embedding the growth framework across DLC and help upskill the different functions and teams

  • Collaborator Impact: Engage GB, European, and Global partners to secure efficient commercial choices for DLC

 

Accountabilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of the Fiscal+1 Commercial Plan for Diageo’s Luxury Brands across the RGM levers (price, product, place and product) combining the needs of brands, channels, customers, and Diageo’s short- and long-term market share and financial goals.

  • Develop the 3–5-year commercial strategy in partnership with Brand Marketing and Commercial, planning and finance to achieve Diageo long term commercial ambitions.

  • Manage and course correct the in-year performance of Diageo Luxury Brands through the working day cycle to deliver P&L and share targets.

  • Build the Physical Availability Roadmap that delivers the strategy through the lens of strategic pricing, pack price architecture, assortment, channel mix and promotional effectiveness.

  • Support our Innovation Commercialisation within the Gate process

  • Fully Embed RGM capabilities within the organisation through training and coaching programs

 

Experience / skills required

  • 5+ years of FMCG commercial, category and/or RGM experience

  • Strong ability to build and maintain genuine relationships

  • Successful management of stakeholders, resulting in strong and positive outcomes

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity in a matrixed environment

  • Demonstrated brilliant execution

  • Experience working across multiple categories/channels within FMCG
