The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Associate on a 7-month contract at the English Language and Literature (ELL) Department.

Project Title: Understanding AI prompt literacy as an aspect of Digital Literacy

Project Introduction:

This study aims to characterize participants’ interactions with AI-powered chatbots in order to examine the process of prompt iteration within the context of a specific task or purpose. Currently, besides anecdotal information, there is still little research-based understanding of how people engage with these chatbots in terms of the actual communicative patterns or regarding the metacognitive process of interacting with AI.
