Compensation: $28 - $34 per hour, based on skill and experience.

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Dentistry and Oral Surgery Department (DOSS). This role offers the opportunity to support a growing department dedicated to delivering high-quality oral healthcare through advanced imaging, multi-modal anesthetic techniques, and comprehensive periodontal therapy.

About the Role

As a member of the team, you will work directly with our Dentistry Specialists to support all aspects of dental and oral surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience in anesthesia, and a passion for dentistry and advanced imaging.

You will play a critical role in coordinating workflows, preparing and monitoring patients, and ensuring each procedure is performed to the highest medical standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Obtain patient histories and help our specialists with physical exams and client communication such as patient updates and discharges.
  • Assist with periodontal procedures, extractions, endodontics, and maxillofacial cases
  • Perform scaling and polishing using proper technique and instrumentation
  • Obtain full-mouth dental radiographs and assist with charting and treatment planning
  • Prepare dental suites, surgical instruments, and patient setups
  • Implement individualized anesthesia plans with a multi-modal approach
  • Set up and monitor advanced anesthesia equipment (capnography, multiparameter monitors, invasive monitoring)
  • Support safe patient induction, maintenance, and recovery
  • Collaborate closely with our Anesthesia team to ensure best practices are followed
  • Support Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging for oral and maxillofacial diagnostics
  • Position, prepare, and monitor sedated or anesthetized patients during CBCT studies
  • Enter accurate charges and medical orders in WoofWare to ensure proper billing and record keeping.

What We’re Looking For

  • RVT preferred; experienced VAs with anesthesia or dentistry experience encouraged to apply
  • Strong technical skills in anesthesia, radiology, and patient care
  • Proficiency with SmartFlow and WoofWare preferred (training available)
  • Desire to expand knowledge of veterinary dentistry and advanced imaging
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
