Position: Registered Nurse MNA
Department: Float Pool
Schedule: 36 Hours, 7p-7a, Every Other Weekend
Position Summary:
The Float Registered Nurse provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Float Registered Nurse incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision, and values into nursing practice.
The Float Registered Nurse assumes full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to individuals and groups. Included in such responsibility is health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort or for the dignified death of those they serve. The Float Registered Nurse, within the parameters of his/her generic and continuing education experience, may delegate nursing acuities to other registered nurses and/or health care personnel, provided that the delegating Float Registered Nurse shall bear full and ultimate responsibility for the patient outcomes.
The Float Registered Nurse must have excellent assessment skills, clinical skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge and charge capabilities. The Float Registered Nurse must be able to lift, transfer and move patients. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language. Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols.
Requirements:
Education: Nursing degree required: diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required
Experience: Requires previous RN experience.
Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, ACLS required.
Compensation Range:
$38.10- $77.63This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
