Position Summary

The Regional Vice President is a key leadership role within LanguageLine Solutions, a leading language access company. The RVP will be responsible for overseeing and driving the company’s sales operations, growth, and strategic initiatives within a defined region. This dynamic position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the language services industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving revenue commitments and operational excellence.

The RVP will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute a regional business plan that aligns with the company’s overall strategic goals. They will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a team of sales professionals and support staff, and strive for 100% customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive regional business plan that includes revenue commitments, market expansion strategies and operational efficiencies.

Revenue and Growth: Lead the regional sales team to achieve and exceed revenue commitments by identifying net new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing existing client relationships and expansion of solutions.

Operational Excellence: Oversee all regional operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality language access services on time and within commitment. Implement best practices for quality control and process improvement.

Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a high performing team of sales professionals. Foster collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Customer Satisfaction: Ensure 100% customer satisfaction by understanding client needs, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships. Implement customer feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.

Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate opportunities for market expansion within the region, including new industries, geographic areas, and service offerings.

Financial Management: Manage the regional commitment, monitor financial performance, and make data-driven decisions to maximize profitability.

Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Implement quality assurance measures to maintain the company’s reputation for accuracy and reliability.

Reporting and Communication: Provide regular updates to the Chief Sales Officer on regional performance, challenges, and opportunities. Communicate company strategies and objectives to the regional team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, linguistics, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the language services industry, with a track record of progressive leadership roles.
  • Proven experience of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of interpretation and translation services, including technology and industry trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software (Salesforce a plus).
  • Willingness to travel within region as needed.

Other Requirements

Physical Demands--Frequent standing for extended periods of time; walking, frequent sitting (vehicle and/or healthcare setting), frequent need to handle materials, reach outward, and occasional need to reach above the shoulder.  Occasional need to lift/carry up to 50-pound items/boxes, occasional need to squat or kneel. 

Other Physical Requirements-- Vision (near & distance, color); sense of sound (ability to hear customers).

Work Environment--Work environment varies from home office setting to customer locations.  Considerable travel is required, including driving and air travel.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, experience and education refers to the amount LanguageLine Solutions is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
