You will be responsible for the overall management of your region (greater Johannesburg, Mpumalanga and Free State) , developing and leading your team, and taking ownership for sales and budgets within your territory.
Opportunities for maximizing customer service along with acquiring new customers will be a pivotal part of your role, so a proven history of delivering exceptional results (individually and through your team) over an extended period is key.

What you will do:
- Manage and grow sales performance within the assigned region covering direct business.
- Demonstrate proactive cross-collaboration with other divisions locally or within your division across EMEA act as a role model for the advantages of collaboration.
- Be proactive in taking part in wider Stryker initiatives & projects both across Europe and Globally e.g. Employee Resources Groups / mentoring outside of your division / Stryker communities.
- Strategic and financial sales forecast plan: Maintain annual strategic plans, gather sales intelligence for tactical decision making. Ensure accurate sales forecasts for both short and long term. Analyze revenue growth and monitor profit margins and targets.
- Maintain customer centric solutions: Ensure customer relations and conduct customer surveys to ensure satisfaction and provision of services. Interact with QA/RA on strategic affairs and corrective action needed.
- Collaborate with peers to optimize core business and create sales culture: Create a sales culture through development and coaching, ensure sound performance management processes, staff succession plans and continuously scout for talent. Ensure professional effective launching of new/line extension products.
- Sustain business ethics, and compliance to regulations: Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to and uphold the Compliance Culture and Philosophy of the Company within the Device Industry.
- Contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization as a key member of the business leadership team, shaping and executing long-term commercial strategies.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, enhance market penetration, and strengthen business partnerships.
- Lead, mentor, and develop sales teams, clinical support staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Continuously assess market trends, healthcare developments, and national funding processes to identify opportunities for growth and influence.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry opinion leaders, and governmental stakeholders to enhance brand positioning and market influence.
- Develop account-specific strategies to optimize service delivery and achieve sales and market share objectives.
- Analyze account profitability to prioritize investments and maximize return on sales efforts.
- Oversee successful product launches and commercial initiatives, ensuring alignment with global and regional market strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to enhance sales effectiveness, ensure seamless customer service, and drive process efficiency.
- Regularly assess team performance, provide structured development plans, and contribute to talent management, including hiring and performance evaluations.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and business performance metrics to provide data-driven recommendations and strategic insights to senior leadership.
What you need:
- Minimum undergraduate degree Management or sales industry related degree/diploma/Business degree.
- 5 Years’ experience in the sales industry.
- At least 3 years proven success as a high performing sales leader.
- Team supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to lead others to accomplish goals.
- Demonstrated success in building, managing, motivating and developing strong sales. This includes acumen in setting sales coverage and leveraging territory coverage and customer focus.
- Demonstrated ability to build engagement and leverage performance management systems to reach business objectives; includes goal setting, performance planning and monitoring, coaching, feedback and performance review.
- Solid understanding of healthcare and practical knowledge of all the commercial aspects including tenders, regulatory requirements.
- Valid driver's license.
The Hiring Manager for this role will be the BUM South Africa.
Interviews for this role will be held in week commencing 13th October to 17th October 2025.
Travel Percentage: 60%
