Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for a Regional Safety Manager to support multi-state energy efficiency and renewable energy construction projects. NOTE: This position requires the ability to travel extensively to support construction operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analysis for assigned projects.
Ensure compliance to all Safety Policies and adopted Standards.
Develop and implement long-term strategy and short-term plans for continuous improvement of the safety, health and environmental compliance program across all aspects of the Ameresco’s Regional business operation.
Ensure personal protective equipment meets applicable OSHA requirements and employees are trained on proper use.
Conduct Safety Audits of assigned project sites ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised.
Ensure incidents are reported, investigated, under-go comprehensive root-cause analysis, and corrective actions implemented to minimize the likelihood of repeat occurrence.
Oversee that all safety training of all regional personnel is completed.
Ensure completion of project safety inspections with follow-up inspections of any open items.
Review Subcontractor safety qualifications and attend Pre-Construction Meetings as required.
Creation and evaluating activity hazard reviews.
Work with project supervision and management to create safety solutions to safety problems.
Foster and maintains a positive safety culture for the project personnel.
Maintain all safety certifications as required by contracts.
Conduct monthly safety meetings for Project Staff.
Produce Safety Reports of activities performed.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management.
Ability to travel extensively to support construction operations.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health or related program; or, an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum of seven (7) years of construction safety experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Procore, and other basic computer skills.
Must be organized, proactive and have proven experience in OSHA Compliance.
Skillful communicator in both verbal and in written communication.
Excellent writing skills with proper grammar.
A great listener who can communicate professionally and in an open and positive approach.
Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
