About the job

As the Regional Health & Safety Coordinator for LATAM, you will play a key role in implementing Twilio’s global Health and Safety strategy across the region. Reporting to the Director of Safety and Security Services, you’ll ensure that all LATAM offices and remote environments operate safely, comply with local regulations, and align with Twilio’s global standards. This role combines strategic leadership and hands-on execution to strengthen safety culture, standardize processes, and support. 

You will lead Health and Safety programs across LATAM, ensuring consistent application of Twilio’s global policies and local compliance. Your work will include developing and updating regional procedures, conducting site risk assessments, and coordinating incident investigations. You’ll design training and awareness programs, oversee audits, and ensure emergency readiness across all sites. Additionally, you’ll manage H&S data reporting, resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the safety and well-being of Twilions throughout the region.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • The regional H&S Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Safety and Security Services
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations on regional H&S matters.
  • Ensure all regional H&S activities, procedures, and documentation strictly follow Twilio’s global Health & Safety policies and standards.
  • Develop, update, and standardize H&S policies across LATAM locations (office and remote).
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations in each location.
  • Act as the regional champion for the implementation and enforcement of global H&S initiatives.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments at all regional LATAM Twilio locations.
  • Identify site-specific hazards and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Conduct risk assessments for all regional off-site events
  • Design and deliver H&S training programs tailored to each site’s needs.
  • Organize regional safety workshops and awareness campaigns (If applicable)
  • Coordinate incident investigations across LATAM.
  • Analyze trends and share Root Cause Analysis with GHS Manager
  • Schedule and perform regular H&S audits at each location.
  • Ensure H&S compliance across all LATAM locations 
  • Track corrective actions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and test regional emergency response plans.
  • Coordinate drills and ensure all sites are prepared for emergencies.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on H&S metrics from all sites.
  • Present LATAM regional H&S performance to the GHS Manager
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practice sharing across sites.
  • Lead LATAM regional H&S initiatives and projects.
  • Oversee allocation of H&S resources (PPE, signage, etc.) across the region.
  • Manage regional H&S budgets and procurement with GHS assistance

*Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in health and safety roles, ideally with regional or multi-site responsibility and international regulatory compliance in LATAM 
  • Accredited and regionally recognized health and safety certifications, with verifiable credentials.
  • Fluency in English & Spanish is a must. Portuguese will be a plus but not required  

Desired:

  • Experience supporting health and safety programs in the context of supporting remote workers 

Location

This role will be remote, and based in Colombia.

Travel
