You are a hands-on leader with deep expertise in controls engineering and project management. You thrive in complex environments, drive standardization, and ensure high-quality delivery of BMS, EPMS, PLC, and SCADA systems. You are a strategic thinker and a tactical executor, committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
The Impact You Will Have
You will be the on-site authority for controls quality across new data center builds. You’ll ensure systems are safe, reliable, and aligned with QTS standards from design through commissioning and turnover. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor performance, and resolve escalations with precision.
What You Will Do
System Integrator Oversight
Lead selection and evaluation of General Contractor System Integrators (CSI) and controls contractors.
Manage CSI performance across all phases, including calibrations and QA.
Serve as escalation point for system integrator quality issues.
Project Leadership & Management
Onboard and lead BMS Leads, CSI, and E&I contractors.
Support commercial terms review and evaluation.
Coordinate audits for packaged equipment controls and BMS commissioning.
Facilitate large stakeholder meetings and weekly cross-functional syncs.
Ensure adherence to DIV25 specifications and design deliverables.
Quality Assurance & Standardization
Drive consistency across buildings, integrators, and contractors.
Inspect BMS, PLC, and SCADA installations and commissioning.
Oversee build quality and graphical interface validation.
Provide on-site commissioning support and vendor witness testing.
Support mock-up and benchmark processes.
Collaborate on logical scheduling for controls activities.
Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement
Identify risks in controls architecture and ensure redundancy.
Support integration of custom tooling into construction workflows.
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives impacting controls delivery.
Use project data to forecast early design delivery milestones.
Documentation & Issue Management
Manage issue resolution lifecycle and ensure timely closure.
Support RFI creation and tracking.
Communicate controls-related issues and resolutions to stakeholders.
Site Visits & Field Activities
Conduct regular site visits to assess installation and commissioning.
Provide hands-on support for BMS, PLC, and SCADA troubleshooting.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years in instrumentation/controls programming, MEP coordination, and commissioning.
3+ years in HVAC controls and electrical power monitoring.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Experience with industrial automation and building management systems (PLC/DDC).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Autodesk, CxAlloy, ACC Build, and Procore.
Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, OPC UA systems.
Certifications: cGMP, CAP, PMP.
Experience with Rockwell and Inductive Automation Ignition platforms.
Expectations
Position is approved to be remote with travel expectations of 50% - 75% annually

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
The estimated pay range for this role is:
$110,774.63 - $189,055.37The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
