A Brief Overview
Under the general direction of the Imaging Services Manager, the Radiology Tech Aide performs a variety of essential duties to support patient care and operational efficiency. This role involves assisting with patient throughput across all sub-departments to ensure timely and efficient service, as well as supporting technologists with all paratechnical aspects of patient examinations.

What you will do
  • Assists with patient flow and room turnaround for all imaging departments.
  • Sets up exam rooms for procedures (i.e. proper coils, set up trays, prepares for injections)
  • Assists patients with screening forms and health questionnaires and delivers to clinical staff.
  • Inform patients of the status of their exams (i.e. start time, delays etc).
  • Escorts patients to the dressing room and assists with changing if necessary. Ensures that patients are provided with a locker for securing their valuables and address any questions related to the exam.
  • Transports and assists non ambulatory patient to and from exam tables and to other clinics within the facility.
  • Assists the clinical team with patient lifting and transfers using mechanical lift devices, following safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
  • Provides a variety of clerical support that includes, but is not limited to, scheduling and rescheduling of appointments, confirming patient appointments, managing the release and upload of imaging records, and scanning screening forms and other clinical documentation into the medical record systems. Follows up with referring clinics to clarify or correct exam orders as necessary to ensure the accuracy of scheduled procedures.
  • May be required to provide cross coverage at other Imaging sites based on operational needs.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Experience Qualifications
  • One (1) year of directly medical work experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Licenses and Certifications
  • BLS - Basic Life Support required

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $31.30 - $35.25 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
