An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiologist to join the Radiography (X-Ray) team, based in LiftWorks Bristol.

LiftWorks manufacture critical engine components for use in Defence engine applications, which require 100% X-Ray inspection approval.

For Radiography Technical procedure, X-Ray specific safety and compliance areas, you will have to adhere to working standards set by the NDE Technical Authority. This also ensures adherence to aviation authority regulations.

You will be responsible for ensuring production batches meet LiftWorks quality compliance, referring to approved X-Ray Techniques, RQSC’s and Technical documentation. You will ensure the compliance and traceability of documentation in paper-copy format and on the business MRP/MES software. They will assess batches under their own unique stamp (paper-copy) and unique digital log-in (MES system),

It is essential you follow all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, including wearing specific PPE. You are personally responsible for your own safety and that of your colleagues whilst on shift. Due to the inherent nature of working with X-Rays, you will have additional mandatory safety guidelines to follow when working in the X-Ray area.

What you will be doing:

  • Ability to prioritise workload in line with the customers’ requirements.

  • Interpretation and evaluation of indications.

  • Completing inspection documentation as necessary including raising failed inspection and correction documentation operation of the Shop Floor Data Manager work booking system.

  • Recording work details and non-conformance, checking efficiency of the process.

  • Work to the relevant Rolls-Royce Quality & Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures

  • Undertake basic housekeeping tasks, including 5s activity. Involvement in Process Improvement activity.

  • Level 2 Radiographer (preferred but not essential)

  • Aerospace experience in other Non-Destructive Testing Technique

  • Good organisation and written communication skills

  • Computer literate will be required to use various software applications

  • Team player with the energy and drive to succeed 

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements

  • Customer, Quality and Delivery focused
