The Department of Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami seeks applicants for a full-time faculty appointment in Quantum Computing as part of a multi-year hiring initiative in quantum science. The appointment will be at the rank of assistant professor (tenure-track) and will begin August 15, 2026.  The areas of interests include, but are not limited to, quantum algorithms, quantum cryptography, quantum error correction, quantum optimization, and the applications of quantum computing to sciences. The ideal candidate will be able to develop/maintain an internationally recognized research program and teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field by the start date of the appointment.
