Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the investment engine, the core platform enabling portfolio construction at FTIS.

  • Collaborate with quantitative investment staff to ensure that investment processes and quantitative models are translated into robust, scalable systems.

  • Gather complex requirements from the investment team and distill them into elegant and approachable designs.

  • Educate and mentor professionals across FTIS, promoting best practices and adoption of the platform.

Qualifications and Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role within a quantitative finance or investment management environment.

    • Proven track record as a Quantitative Researcher, Developer, or Analyst, ideally within a buy-side asset management firm.

    • Deep understanding of systematic investment strategies, quantitative portfolio construction, and alpha research.

  • Technical Expertise

    • Strong programming skills in Python (required)

    • Experience designing, building, and maintaining critical production systems used in investment decision-making or portfolio management.

    • Proficiency in working with large-scale financial datasets, time series analysis, and statistical modeling.

  • Domain Knowledge

    • Solid grasp of financial markets, risk modeling, and portfolio optimization techniques.

    • Familiarity with backtesting frameworks, data pipelines, and performance attribution tools.

  • Collaboration & Communication

    • Ability to work closely with portfolio managers, researchers, and data engineers to translate investment ideas into scalable solutions.

    • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
