Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for a Senior Quality Systems Specialist (Level 4) based out of Tukwila, Washington to join our Repair Station Administration team to support the Boeing Repair Station.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works as a member of the Boeing Repair Station Administration team whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining the Repair Station and Quality Manual, Repair Station Training Program, Repair Station Safety Management System, the Repair Station roster, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Agency Certificates, and National Aviation Authority (NAA) Maintenance Organization approvals

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with Repair Station stakeholders, National Aviation Authorities, and customers through proactive engagement and effective communication, fostering a collaborative network that enhances operational safety and compliance

  • Promotes the standardization and implementation of best practices throughout the Repair Station network, ensuring consistency and operational excellence across all locations

  • Oversees the creation of comprehensive project plans, ensuring effective management throughout the project lifecycle

  • This includes regular status reporting to stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment on project progress and objectives

  • Supports cross-functional and cross-site initiatives within the Repair Station network to ensure the effective implementation of regulatory requirements and adherence to international standards

  • Assists with Repair Station Management Reviews to ensure the effectiveness of actions addressing risks and opportunities and changes in regulatory authority and customer requirements that may impact the organization, while also assessing resource adequacy

  • Assists senior management with third party audits of the Repair Station

  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed

  • Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation

                 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with QMS (Quality management System)

  • 3+ years of experience working with FAA and other National Aviation Authorities

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners

  • Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience as an FAA certificated Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic

  • 3+ years of experience with Repair Station/Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations

  • 3+ years of Root Cause and Corrective Action experience

  • 3+ years of experience working with quality management systems, including AS9000 and AS9110

  • Familiarity with FAA 14 CFR part 43 and part 145 FAA Certificated Repair Station requirements

  • Baccalaureate or graduate work in an aviation-related field such as aviation management or safety management would be highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish would be highly desirable.

Summary pay range: $89,250 – $144,900
