Each day will be different; you will support assembly processes and test activities, be responsible for investigating the validity and quality of products and processes, and find solutions for non-conformities of parts arising from production or supply chain. This involves daily interaction with various teams, including engineering, production, and after-market.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday day shift position based in Mississauga and performed exclusively on-site (office and production).

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Drive initiatives and projects that cultivate an environment where quality is valued by all employees.
  • Maintain the customer perspective during the disposition of non-compliant material.
  • Adopt a procedure review process to ensure proper understanding and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and document investigations into quality problems caused during assembly using continuous improvement tools (e.g., DAISE, RCCA, 8D).
  • Work in collaboration with Pratt & Whitney US on quality investigations and ensure corrective, preventive, and internal control actions are implemented.
  • Lead investigations of product escapes in coordination with various support groups to provide containment and minimize customer impact.
  • Perform investigations to find root causes of quality issues and help develop solutions to eliminate incidents.
  • Manage supplier and assembly line escapes in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage tactical quality clinics in collaboration with assemblers and support teams.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for all quality control activities involving Assembly and Test.
  • Chair Quality Clinics in support of Operations.
  • Monitor quality KPIs to ensure actions reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), including publishing monthly quality reports.
  • Participate as a Quality representative on audits, assembly and test activities, and Plant/Engine Centre initiatives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, provide creative solutions, and demonstrate project management skills.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct final verification of engines and parts prior to shipment and sign airworthiness release certificates.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures to support engine certification in accordance with TCCA standards.

What do you need to be successful?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or aeronautical) or Quality Assurance with at least 2 years of experience. Other relevant experience related to the position will be considered
  • Knowledge of the aerospace field.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).
  • Strong teamwork skills, autonomy, sense of initiative, good communication, and results focus.

Assets

  • Expertise and technical knowledge of manufacturing aeronautical parts, experience in reading planes and geometric tolerances, and experience in quality control and use of measuring instruments.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of systems like SAP & Enovia PLM is an asset.
  • Six Sigma, continuous improvement techniques, problem-solving processes (RCCA, DAISE, 8D).
  • Good knowledge of engine models PW300, PW800, PW1500, and PW1900.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated aptitude for teamwork, and the ability to conduct multiple tasks simultaneously
