Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) has exciting opportunities for an Associate or Experienced Quality Production Specialist - Investigations to join our Delivery Center Quality Investigation team located in North Charleston, SC.

The primary focus of this role will be investigating, containing and obtaining comprehensive Root Cause and Corrective Action of defective supplier product escapes related to 787 program. In this role one will be expected to: collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, track and respond to supplier communication, and support Program BPS structure.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements

  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes

  • Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans. Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems

  • Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes

  • Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action

  • Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review

  • Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution

  • Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated

  • Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution

  • Works under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments

  • 1+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality

  • 1+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/Experience):

  • 787 Program Experience

  • 1+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders

  • Experience working and interfacing directly with suppliers

  • Experience working in (CMES) Common Manufacturing Execution System/ Velocity/ REDARS/ PSDS/ IVT

Summary pay range (level 2): $70,550 - $95,450
