At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for a number of worldwide customers, and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our fast-paced and innovative team located in Moor Road, Kilkeel.
The Quality Manager will lead a team to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing audits, driving continuous improvement, supporting new product introductions, and analysing quality data. The role also involves team development, promoting a culture of quality, and ensuring performance goals and process compliance are met.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating activities required to meet world-class quality standards, procedures, customer, regulatory and be compliant to the defined requirements
Monitor and advise on quality performance, producing data and reports on performance measured against set indicators
Liaising with other departments and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that QMS is functioning properly
Lead problem resolution process in a cross-functional format that supports production needs and increases customer satisfaction
Manage and drive key plant initiatives and Policy Deployment (PD) activities
Lead a Quality team of quality engineers and inspectors, including objectives setting and performance appraisals
Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation
Ensure that the set QA objectives and metrics are achieved e.g. Policy Deployment, CAS (Commercial Aircraft Segment) and Kilkeel KPI’s, Customer and Program Specific NPI targets
Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training
Collect and analyse customer performance data and implement improvement plans
Monitor the effectiveness of QMS through internal audits, agreeing with the relevant managers any corrective action
Experience of audit and customer management

What you need to succeed:
Essential Criteria:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable middle management role in an operations / manufacturing environment
Or
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in an operations / manufacturing environment
Or
Hold or working towards a Third Level Education in Quality, Engineering or another related field
2 years supervisory experience with direct reports in the manufacturing industry
Internal Applicants:
Currently working in a P4 role preferably with experience in Quality or Engineering
Or
Hold or working towards a Third Level Education in Quality, Engineering or another related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a P3 role with experience in Quality or Engineering
Project management lead experience
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of product and process quality within a manufacturing environment.
Experience of leading and managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
Have a solid understanding and experience of ISO9001/AS9100.
Have significant experience in applying problem solving methodologies e.g. 8D.
