Job Description:

TSC’s in Huntsville, AL is actively recruiting a dynamic Quality Engineer to support our Production Operation. The selected individual will ensure compliance with contractual and internal requirements to ensure our production operation meets the high quality product performance levels that our customers demand.  As a member of the Quality team, other quality duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities: 

  • Create quality plans for production ready products and products entering first production
  • Provide expertise for the preparation, evaluation, and assessment of documentation relative to processes encountered during the manufacturing, inspection, and test phases of programs
  • Work with production and inspection to solve issues, collect data and present meaningful metrics pointing to opportunities for improvement.
  • Create First Article Inspection documentation
  • Support PCA (Physical Configuration Audit) and FCA (Functional Configuration Audit)
  • Witness DVT and Qualification Testing
  • Support FRACA (Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action) for failures discovered during testing
  • Develop and implement new or improve existing internal operating procedures and work instructions
  • Create Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and ensure timely resolution of corrective actions

Required Knowledge: 

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems, strongly preferred
  • Experience applying audit standards, procedures and techniques, strongly preferred
  • Familiar with IPC, J-STD, MIL and DOD Standards
  • Experience with configuration control
  • Experience with material traceability process and tools

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to summarize issues from collected data and present succinct summary in visual form

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Quality Assurance or Equivalent

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in Circuit Card Assemblies & Integration
  • Experience in Mechanical Assemblies
  • DoD or Military Hardware Manufacturing Experience
