We have an immediate opening for a Tire Building Quality Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the most efficient use of raw materials and reducing post-manufacture waste in order to meet established quality standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure that delivered products are compliant with quality planning models and are manufactured in compliance with obtention standards.
  • Meet the quality and productivity performance goals defined by the shop using “Right the first time” principles.
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of implemented actions.
  • Contribute to the definition and completion of the quality obtention section of the progress plan.
  • Mentor operators (including the quality correspondents) to improve application of manufacturing standards and reaction in the event of deviation.
  • Follow up on process performance in terms of capability and productivity taking part in ensuring permanent improvements are made.
  • Participate in quality planning for products, materials, processes, and methods.
  • Provide feedback on compliance and standards to management.
  • Develop guidelines and standards for operators.
  • Identify critical connections and patterns in information / data.
  • Draw logical conclusions based on in depth analysis of information
  • Recognize causes and consequences of actions and events that are not likely apparent.
  • Anticipate obstacles considering next steps.
  • Persuade by appealing to reason using data, facts and examples.
  • Presents information in a confident manner.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering and 0-5 years’ experience in process engineering.
  • Internship or co-op experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems. Experience with Power BI a plus.
  • Familiarity with quality protocols and understanding of ISO requirements is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy.
