Are you someone who loves figuring out how things work, improving them, and making sure products are built to the highest standard? At Iress, we’re looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about creating exceptional software and embedding quality into everything we deliver.
This is an exciting role where you’ll work across the full engineering lifecycle, influence how quality is delivered, and grow your career within a global technology business.
Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:
Designing and implementing test cases to ensure quality is built into products from the start
Using both manual and automation testing to validate product functionality, usability and performance
Developing and maintaining test plans across each stage of the development lifecycle
Keeping the regression suite up to date, relevant and continuously improving
Troubleshooting issues and helping the team reach quick, effective resolutions
Working closely with product managers, engineers and support teams to deliver client-focused outcomes
Contributing new ideas that support continuous improvement and innovation in quality practices
What you will bring:
Experience or strong interest in end-to-end software testing
Curiosity with a genuine interest in improving how things are done
Ability or willingness to build skills in test automation (Cypress, Playwright or Specflow experience is beneficial)
Ability or willingness to develop skills with SQL for test data and investigation
Growth mindset and enthusiasm to learn and tackle new challenges
Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with others to deliver great results
Ability to work in an Agile environment with a proactive and accountable approach
Commercial awareness and ability to consider the user and business impact of quality decisions
Experience or interest in UK financial services, particularly Life and Health Protection or Mortgages (beneficial but not essential)
