Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Milpitas, CA.

In this role, the potential candidate will lead and support quality assurance initiatives across product development and manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with internal and external quality requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation standards and procedures.
  • Design sampling plans and documentation for quality and reliability data collection and analysis.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conforming materials and products.
  • Supervise quality control personnel in testing, measurement, and data reporting activities.
  • Prepare and deliver training materials on quality control practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers on customer-facing quality issues.
  • Ensure data integrity and consolidate quality performance metrics for reporting.
  • Support internal and external quality audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Approve product, process, and equipment qualifications.
  • Investigate product returns and field issues, recommending corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and improve the precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and support supplier quality and NPI/product transfer initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and tools including TF-EX, CSR, VIQS, Control Plans, and SPC.
  • Experience with NPI processes, supplier quality, and regulatory compliance.

The Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree(Electrical/Industrial) in related field or 4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electrical  industry or related field.
  • Experience with NPI, Automotive Standards, and Core Tools (APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP).
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 and Lean Manufacturing (mandatory).
  • Six Sigma certification desirable.
  • 8D Methodology and Root Cause Analysis hands-on experience.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer background is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of policies and procedures. Typically requires some knowledge of computerized electronic test equipment and programming.
  • Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills. Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.
  • Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others.

Pay Range (Applicable to California)

$85,200.00 USD - $117,100.00 USD Annual
