How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice:

This position plays a vital role in supporting quality control objectives to meet growing operational demands and strategic business objectives. In this role you will work directly with a variety of internal teams and external partners to support quality processes related to value added services and production releases. You will also be instrumental in resolving quality issues and maintaining resources.

As a Quality Control Coordinator, a typical day might include a mix of the following:

  • VAS Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of Value Added Services (VAS) work and review all components for accuracy and functionality to ensuring that only high-quality products proceed through the supply chain.
  • Bulk & Finished Good approvals/documentation: Review and disposition bulk and finished goods ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Amazon Production Quality Inspections: Oversee quality inspections and documentation review for Amazon orders to maintain marketplace compliance and meet strict retailer standards.
  • Sample Review and Inspections: Review and inspect samples to validate product quality before mass production, minimizing the risk of widespread defects.
  • Retention sample processing: Process and manage retention samples ensuring that goods are available for future quality investigations or regulatory inquiries.
  • Communication with suppliers and contract manufacturers: Maintain clear and consistent communication with suppliers and contract manufacturers in order to resolve quality concerns promptly and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager

The Details:

  • Location: Hybrid – Kent Warehouse 3 Days a Week, Seattle HQ - In Office 2 Days a Week. Must be responsible for own transportation.
  • Hours: Typical PST business hours, some flexibility required
  • Physical requirements: Ability to both sit and handle screen time for long periods of time & ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Travel requirements: Up to 5%, may vary

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Associate degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field (bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent Quality Control experience
  • Extremely detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Previous inspection experience
  • Strong independent worker
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

What can help you really stand out:

  • Basic laboratory skills or general science knowledge 
  • Previous experience with Good Manufacturing Practices 
  • Experience with SmartSheets 

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$55,000 - $60,000 USD/annually

We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
