QA/Test Engineer
Experience: 2.5 Years to 4.5 Years.
Location: Chennai.
What You’ll Do:
•
Design and execute component-level and end-to-end tests across alert ingestion, correlation, and incident creation pipelines
•
Validate the Golang-based microservice that ingests alerts into the platform, checking schema, enrichment, and error-handling logic
•
Test incident correlation rules and logic, measuring accuracy, performance, and resilience under varied scenarios
•
Simulate alert flows and validate incident creation in ServiceNow and notification delivery to Slack
•
Create, manage, and maintain realistic test datasets to validate production-like conditions and edge cases
•
Debug failures by reviewing logs, APIs, and payloads — and work with engineers to ensure fixes meet platform goals
•
Collaborate with engineers and analysts to design and execute scenario-based test plans that align with operational workflows
•
Validate behavior under partial failures, latency spikes, or degraded integrations
•
Document testing processes, test cases, and key validation patterns for future platform releases
•
Participate in release cycles, regression sweeps, and rule change validation to ensure platform quality
•
Contribute to improving test coverage, automation strategy, and operational readiness criteria
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
•
5+ years of experience in QA, backend testing, or SDET roles focused on APIs, microservices, or event-based systems
•
Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or cURL
•
Familiarity with backend workflows including microservices, queues, and data pipelines
•
Strong ability to read logs, understand structured data (e.g., JSON), and debug cross-system workflows
•
Experience writing detailed test cases, scenarios, and edge case validations
•
Basic understanding of alert and incident lifecycles, especially across systems like ServiceNow or Slack
•
Excellent documentation skills and ability to collaborate closely with engineering and data teams
•
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving QA visibility across the team
•
Participate in on-call rotations & provide operational support as needed
Nice to Have:
•
Exposure to Golang-based APIs (reading/debugging, not writing)
•
Familiarity with AIOps concepts, alert correlation, and rule-based incident generation
•
Experience testing integrations with ITSM systems (ServiceNow), chat ops tools (Slack), or observability platforms
•
Understanding of cloud-native systems, particularly in AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, etc.)
•
Comfort with tools like JIRA, Git, Confluence, and lightweight scripting for test automation (Python, Bash)
•
Experience supporting release readiness, system validation, or operational QA in distributed systems
