QA Engineer

What you will do

As a QA Software Engineer you will provide detailed planning, development, design, and manual execution of test plans. You will build real world IP network environments, and provide critical feedback on the UI and UX of our solutions. 

In this on-prem Belfast-based position, you will be expected to be on site 3 to 5 days a week.

How you will do it

  • Leverage JIRA and Zephyr Scale to document test coverage

  • Drive quality standards and procedures into the process from the start of development

  • Lead in the design and execution of test plan development

  • Develop, modify, and execute software test plans for new feature development

  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to write test scenarios based on requirements

  • Contribute as an embedded member of the sprint team with assigned stories

  • Track progress, open defects, and communicate burndowns status during the SDLC

  • Setup physical environments to verify new technologies, products, and defects

What we look for

  • Around 3+ years of experience as a software test engineer

  • Experience with writing, developing, and executing a test strategy 

  • Experience with troubleshooting best practices and procedures

  • Self-starter and independent worker

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical degree

  • Ability to setup and deploy either Windows or Linux environments

Preferred Skills/Experience 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with access control or video surveillance systems

  • Wireshark knowledge for investigation monitoring

  • Time management and estimation skills as this role will require independent working.

  • Experience working in Agile environment
