Amentum is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Assistant Publications Manager to support XM30 as part of the Next Generation Combat Vehicle (NGCV) program for Program Executive Office (PEO) Ground Combat Systems (GCS). The Publications Manager will oversee the coordination, development, review, and lifecycle management of current and future Army technical and doctrinal publications, ensuring compliance with applicable Army and DoD standards. This role is critical to maintaining the operational readiness and doctrinal integration of the XM30 platform. This position is on site and travel is required. Other duties may be assigned to support the client and contract deliverables.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the development and sustainment of technical manuals (TMs), field manuals (FMs), supply manuals, and training publications (e.g., STPs, ATPs) associated with the XM30 platform.
• Ensure alignment with Army Publishing Directorate (APD) guidance, Army Regulation (AR) 25-30, MIL-STD-40051, and applicable policy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical writers, engineers, logisticians, safety officers, and TACOM/Natick/DEVCOM stakeholders to validate technical accuracy.
• Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) focused on publications and support documentation under the Army Acquisition framework.
• Support publication milestones aligned with the Capability Development Document (CDD), System Integration Events (SIEs), and Soldier Touch Points.
• Ensure configuration and version control of publications in accordance with Configuration Management (CM) practices.
• Maintain the XM30 publications library in digital systems such as the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Interactive Authoring and Display System (IADS), and ETM/EMRS.
• Coordinate with PEO Ground Combat Systems and the Army Futures Command for updates to doctrine and tactics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Information Management, Technical Writing, or a related field and 3–5 years of experience. 
• Must have or be able to obtain an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent writing, editing, coordination, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Army publications lifecycle and formats (e.g., TM, FM, ATP, SOP, STP).
• Experience with Army Publishing Directorate (APD) tools and processes.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Army organizational structure, doctrine development, and materiel acquisition.
• Experience supporting Army acquisition programs (e.g., ACAT I/II) or PEO Ground Combat Systems programs.
• Working knowledge of XM30 or legacy platforms like the Bradley Fighting Vehicle or Stryker.
• Familiarity with XML authoring tools such as Arbortext or FrameMaker.
• Understanding of Army data repositories including AESIP, LMP, and GCSS-Army.
• Former Army enlisted or officer experience (preferred but not required).
• managing Army publications or technical documentation.
