The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Public Relations Manager to lead high-impact work within the Corporate Communications organization, operating as a modern in-house agency partner to the business. This role collaborates closely with Marketing, Creative, Events, and Operations to deliver integrated programs that elevate the brand, support growth priorities, and strengthen enterprise reputation. The successful candidate will be a part of the Strategic Communications team within the company’s Corporate Communications department.

This position is hybrid with in-office days in Reston, VA.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute media relations strategies that elevate the company’s brand, leadership, and innovations.
  • Cultivate relationships with defense and government press (national, regional, and trade media); proactively pitch stories and manage inquiries.
  • Craft clear, concise messaging and content, including press releases, op-eds, talking points, digital assets, and remarks. Coordinate press materials, media training, and spokesperson readiness.
  • Promote thought leadership, executive visibility, and key milestones across programs and corporate initiatives, including trade shows and press events.
  • Monitor and lead urgent issues and crisis communications.
  • Measure outcomes (i.e., share of voice, sentiment, reach) and report insights to leadership.
  • Collaborate across Corporate Communications to ensure message alignment across channels.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in communications, media relations, and public relations roles.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the C-Suite, U.S. Operations leadership, business development teams, and Corporate Communications.
  • Serve as company spokesperson as needed.
  • Ability to set strategy and tactical action plans while adapting as needed.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for multiple audiences across the company.
  • Expert-level understanding of AP Style.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications.
  • Experience supporting defense acquisition programs or U.S. federal government customers .
  • Expertise with media monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Cision).
  • Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong relationships with defense, technology, and federal policy media.
  • Experience in digital media strategy.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,200
