About the opportunity

This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the organisation’s long-term property strategy and ensure the portfolio supports future operational and service delivery needs. Responsible for leading the 5-year rolling property strategy, the position oversees all associated property transaction activity, including acquisitions, renewals, consolidations, rent reviews, and the exercising of options. A key focus of the role is aligning property decisions with business priorities, delivering financial value, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the role will analyse market conditions, portfolio performance, and business requirements to identify opportunities that reduce cost, enhance value, and mitigate risk. It will also develop business cases, manage negotiations, and ensure due diligence across all transactions. This is a highly collaborative role that involves engaging with government stakeholders, legal providers, landlords, and operational teams to deliver a well-managed, strategically aligned and future-focused property portfolio.

About you

A strategic, commercially focused property professional with a strong understanding of portfolio planning and end-to-end transaction management is well suited to this role. Experience spans multi-year strategy development, market engagement, lease negotiations, and the creation of robust business cases that support property decisions.

Collaboration with diverse stakeholders comes naturally, enabling alignment between operational needs, financial outcomes, and long-term organisational goals. A track record of managing complex agreements, maintaining accurate portfolio data, and delivering value through informed property insights is essential. A tertiary qualification in property, asset management, or operations is desirable.
