VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.

We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

About the opportunity

This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead the design, delivery, and operational performance of a diverse property portfolio. You will oversee capital works, refurbishments, and maintenance activities, ensuring every project meets established design standards, safety requirements, and operational needs.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive end-to-end property project management, from scoping and procurement to contractor oversight and progress reporting. You will also guide design development, support innovative solutions, and manage facilities operations through third-party providers. With a strong focus on quality, compliance, and value, this role plays a key part in shaping a high-performing, customer-focused property portfolio.

About you

You are a skilled property professional with strong experience delivering capital works, refurbishments, and operational building management across multi-site portfolios. With a collaborative mindset, you bring confidence in overseeing contractors, managing design development, and ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in line with organisational standards.

You balance technical capability with strong communication, allowing you to influence stakeholders and support strategic decision-making. Your commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality ensure you consistently meet project, compliance, and operational requirements while contributing to a positive, service-focused culture.

  • Expertise in planning and delivering capital works and refurbishment projects from concept to completion
  • Confidence coordinating designers, contractors, and suppliers to achieve high-quality outcomes
  • Strong capability in managing facilities operations, maintenance programs, and compliance
  • A proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment across diverse business functions
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple site-based projects while maintaining timelines, budgets, and standards
  • Sound understanding of property design principles, asset management, and operational requirements
